Relationship Skill – Live in the Present

Of course we all live in the present because that is the only place we can be.  Yet I have labeled LIVE IN THE PRESENT as a relationship skill to be learned.  The reason for that is that in our minds we can hang out in the past or the future and forget that real living takes place in the present.

Listen to yourself.  Do you find yourself frequently  saying “if only” I had done this or that then my life would be different.  Or do you find yourself fantasizing about the future and daydreaming about what your life could look like.  By keeping your mind in the past or in the future you stop yourself  from taking action in the present. It is in the present that we can take action to grow ourselves and strengthen our relationships.

Today’s tip is a quote by Theodore Roosevelt

Tip of the day:

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
