My writing here has been at a stand still. The reason is that I have been part of a 30 day challenge to blog daily for the past month. I am proud to say that I and 49 others completed the challenge. The challenge was set by my mentor Connie Ragen Green. You can read all about rekindling relationships at the following site http://www.rekindleyourrelationship.com/relationships.
Now I would like to rebuild my relationship here with my readers. I think that the way to do it will be to have a regular schedule for updates.
I have been thinking about the relationships in my life. Last week my cousin and her husband came to the States and I spent a day with them in New York City. I have had very little contact with her over the years yet our family connection bond was strong. Likewise I have some friends whom I have not seen for years but I trust that if we were to get together there would be an ease between us.
Other contacts require a regular infusion of energy. They are also rewarding but the connection is rooted in shared activities that we are both involved in. I have had strong connections with co-workers but once I left the work setting the relationships did not continue.
I think we are all like that. We have a variety of friendships throughout life. Yet there are some relationships that we have for life. Commitment to our children belongs into that category. Couple relationships require a continuous infusion of energy in order to stay vibrant.
