I have often been asked can we really do something to change our attitude. My answer is that indeed we can. We can choose to have a positive attitude about life.
Several years ago when I was certain I was a very positive person I took several on line questionnaires at: http://www.authentichappiness.sas.upenn.edu and found out that I had areas where I was critical and judgemental that I was not even aware of. It jolted me into taking a critical look at my attitude and I realized that I wanted to make some changes. My habit of being critical and judging others which I had looked at as a strength I realized was really my way of putting others down. I did not like that about myself and decided to work hard at letting go of these traits. There are occasions when having a critical mind is an asset but I was using it inappropriately.

Open yourself up to not judging others and you will be able to accept yourself and others more.
